If you didn’t know already Rick does a programme live on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Planet Rock - a radio station available on DAB, Sky & cable.

I needed to see Rick anyway so decided to take a few photos whilst I was there of the ‘organised chaos’ that is ‘Rick’s Place’ just so you can see what goes on!

Broadcast from a studio in Norwich and ably assisted by Dave ‘Hoffy’ Hoffman, fun is always at the top of the agenda. As you’ll see by the pile and piles of paper in the photos, Rick gets a lot of jokes emailed in - with different themes chosen each week. Not surprisingly, many of these are not suitable for public broadcast, and they end up going straight onto an ever growing pile of “You CAN’T broadcast that!”  Others get vetted and in many cases have words changed here and there to make them ‘acceptable’. The things that you just can’t say these days - ridiculous, especially as in 99% of cases the subjects of the jokes are not offended, it’s the P.C. brigade being hyper sensitive. Bring back common sense I say!
